Tout en respectant le protocole strict imposé par la situation sanitaire actuelle, les élèves du LFJM ont célébré la 49ème journée nationale des EAU de manière passionnante. Le concours de connaissances générales de la journée nationale qui s' est déroulé en anglais et en français a en effet été une activité amusante et captivante. L'activité s'est déroulée comme prévu ; le dimanche 29 novembre, les élèves de CE1 et CE2 ont participé au concours. Lundi 30 novembre, c'était le tour des élèves de CM1, CM2, 6ème et 5ème de participer.
Les finalistes de chaque niveau se sont donc dirigés vers l'auditorium et sur scène ont pu répondre à dix-huit questions portant tant sur l'histoire et la culture que la géographie des EAU.
Les élèves avaient 20 secondes pour réfléchir et répondre à chaque question. Alors que les concurrents étaient impatients de voir leur classe remporter la victoire, leurs camarades ont acclamé leurs représentants tout en suivant l'événement en direct.
Les compétitions ont fait la part belle au suspens. le classement a été très serré entre les différents concurrents.
Félicitations à tous les élèves qui ont participé à cette compétition unique qui a tenu toutes et tous en haleine!
While respecting the strict protocol imposed by the current sanitary situation, the LFJM students celebrated the 49th UAE national day in an exciting way. The National day general knowledge competition hosted in English and French was indeed a fun and thrilling activity. The event took place as scheduled; on Sunday, 29th of November with grade 2 and grade 3, and on Monday the 30th of November, it was the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th graders’ turn to compete.
Each level's finalists headed to the auditorium and took the stage to answer 18 questions that revolved around the UAE’s history, culture, and geography. Students were given only 20 seconds to think and answer each question. While the contestants were eager to snatch victory for their class, their classmates cheered and shouted for their class representatives while watching the live-streamed event.
The competitions were a match of utmost suspense. The lead was snatched back and forth regularly between the different contestants.
